Scott ended top 3rd with hidden ball trick after shortstop snared line drive with runners on 2nd and 3rd. Big play!

 

Scott scored in first on double steal throw through with Castleman tagged out at second. Harrison scores two on double with overthrow on runner going home. Ball goes into tight dead all area next to dugout.

Scott scores one in bottom of 4th to make it 3-2 Harrison. Harrison right fielder makes a diving shoestring catch to prevent two runs to end the inning.

Big two out hits by Josh Castleman and Blake Gay, Scott now up 4-3 after 5

Scott 4. Harrison 3 end of 5. Castleman doubles in one to left centerfield. Scores on close play at plate on line single to right.

Great pick by first baseman on low throw by shortstop to end Scott's 6th. Harrison up top 7th.

Hidden ball trick that ended Harrison's rally in 3rd was big. Scott regained excitement on the bench. Team looked entirely different mentally. Awesome old tricks sometimes still work.

Maybe Harrison should have thrown their ace. With some of the talk I heard over the last two days, I think Harrison was definitely looking past Scott and wasn't expecting this to be much of a game.

Just finished talking to Mac Whitaker, he started John King his senior and best available. His sophomore, Gus Garrison has a sore arm and he hoped the extra day would allow him to maybe go tomorrow. He's 5'8" and 125 lbs. brought him in to relieve in 7th and he showed potential.

 

Scott pounded King with few strikeouts and a lot of goof Harrison defense. Castleman stood out with a couple of solid and timely hits for Scott. His defense was excellent. Overall Scott played very well and earned this hard fought victory.

That was good Harrison defense, not "goof". My bad.

Scott did a nice jobs coming back after a few outstanding defensive plays HC made that kept the game close.
