St. Patrick vs. Augusta - May 19th at 7:30 pm

 

Championship Game - May 20th at 6:00 pm

This is a great example of why districts should be forced to seed. Mason is clearly the best team in the district and Bracken is clearly the 2nd best. A team in the region will be getting a bi now along with an advantage over whoever else is in there bracket.

Why will KHSAA just not mandate a draw across the board?

This is the same district that won't seed in basketball. Weakened the regional tournament last three years with their decision. Not only dilutes competitiveness, but financially hurts the participating schools with one less probable heavy gate; not to mention the advantage given to get to the championship game for the district winner that draws the inferior foe. Shame local wisdom sometimes just doesn't raise it's head out of the sand.
