Leslie Co. 64 Buckhorn 59

Featured Replies

This was a very physical game. If Buckhorn had converted at the FT line and made some shots at the end they very well could have come away the winner.

Leslie was tight and didn't shoot well except for Morgan who came up big for the Eagles. Good to see Hubbard back on the floor.

Congrats Leslie, get ready for Hazard!!!

Morgan carried Leslie all night. He may not have hit every shot, but he didn't miss many.

When was the last time a Perry Co. School (district) team did not make the region? I would guess at least 20 years. I think Perry Central has went every year of their existence. Before that, Dilce, Buckhorn and MC Napier seemed to be in the region every year. Does anyone know?

I know it's the first time since Big Al's been coaching them.

Leslie was 21 of 34 from the strike so if they would have hit their freethrows it wouldnt have been as close.

Actually, Buckhorn never shot it well from the line, either. 18 of 29 , I think including some big misses down the stretch. In truth, had Leslie hit theirs, the margin would have been slightly bigger. However, had Buckhorn hit theirs in that last 1:00, Leslie may have lost.
