Colonels_Wear_Blue
Here's some insight into at least one aspect of the "real" Stephen Colbert... 6 Times Stephen Colbert Got Serious About Faith | RELEVANT Magazine "Next year, when David Letterman signs off as host of The Late Show for the last time, Comedy Central star Stephen Colbert will take over, positioning himself as the new face of CBS late night. Though he’s made a name for himself by creating an over-the-top persona satirizing the hyper-conservative on The Colbert Report, the real Stephen Colbert—the one headed to CBS—is very different from the character he’s created. When he’s not in front of the camera, Colbert is frequently teaching Sunday school, attending mass or spending time with his family, who are all devout Catholics." Colonels_Wear_Blue
Last night Colbert wrapped up his 9 year run as the host of Comedy Central's show, "The Colbert Report", with a heck of a send off in the last 10 minutes of the final show. Colbert is retiring his character "Steve Colbert" to take over CBS' "Late Show" as his actual self after David Letterman retires in September, 2015. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63eypz03Vhw Also interesting, Colbert chose to have Neutral Milk Hotel's song "Holland, 1945" play as the final credits rolled on "The Colbert Report". Besides being my favorite selection from what I would credit as one of the best albums ever released, the NMH song has a LOT of personal significance to Colbert. You can read a little about that HERE.
Getslow
I loved the finale episode last night. His sendoff from Comedy Central was great. I won't miss a single moment of Letterman's last week on CBS; those episodes will be something to see.
Guest Birdflu
I have never watched Colbert or Letterman, so it will be an even trade for me. And I still won't watch.
