Typical ugly early season game. Huge strike zone and yet there were tons of deep counts and walks. The pitching on both sides struggled with the gusting winds and perhaps a bit of nerves.

 

The teams only played 6 innings due to darkness. 6 innings in 2 hours 52 minutes. Awful pace.

 

A bases loaded walk bottom 6 gave Conner the win.

Did they play at Campbell? I dread playing there every time because of where the field is located. Sitting on top of the hill and playing at this time of year makes the temperature drop another 10 degrees if the wind is blowing and unbearable.

 

I'm sure both teams were happy to get the game over with and were miserable in the cold.

Campbell County JV shut out Conner 2-0 on a complete game pitching performance by Conner Walsh. Kid pitched a heck of a game ... and yes it was cold up on the hill. :eek:

The varsity game was at Conner. Ugly is a good way to describe it. This was Camels season opener.
