Just a thought when posting final score threads

Featured Replies

I really enjoy seeing the scores from around the state, and I think it's great that the Softball Forum is beginning to see it's fair share of threads, including predictions and final score threads.

However, it would be beneficial if more info was added to the final score thread, for example....who had key hits, rbi's, pictures if possible, who made great "Web Gems", pitcher with a lot of K's, etc..... I think this will lead to more hits on threads and initiate replies, the more info the better. Just my thoughts.

It will be easier to make this happen if you clone yourself so every team has an OCD stat keeper that has the gift of gab. Just my thoughts ;)

I do like your idea but know I don't pay that close attention to what other players are doing where I could give a summary of it later. My focus is on what my kid is doing.

I agree with both posters so far. Some info other than just a final score would be great but we (the media), don't get stat sheets postgame like we do in some other sports. Being a photographer all I do is capture the action. It's hard enough to remember the result of a favourite image sometimes, let alone game stats for the entire contest.

I agree that it would be nice to have more. But if all ya got is the score, then I still strongly encourage starting a thread with just a score.

Some new members may not know how to start a thread or maybe are not comfortable starting a thread, yet may have some game scoop to contribute if the thread is already up. Just my 2 Abrahams.

 Lucky for EVERYONE there is only one of me.

I think it would easy to remember a big hit, say a grand slam by Kennedy Baugh or Haylee Smith throws a two-hitter? But I get what your saying.

What you do is great appreciated, but my idea was just a suggestion if possible.

Agree 100%.

I'm very fortunate to have the stat sheet in front of me for the NewCath games do give a very detailed account of the game. Like I said above, if at all possible more info would be even better.

However, I do think it's great that we are seeing more final score threads on here, so keep'em coming. :thumb:

Agree!

And we are very fortunate to have Lawnboy13 in the softball forum.

What are doing in the Fall? Can you bring some passion to the high school soccer forums? :lol2:

Daddy's Little Girl gave up soccer at NewCath after her sophomore season and my other two don't play the "communist" sport.

the "communist" sport.

Why do you call it that?

The game was organised in England and, last time I looked, we weren't Communist. Intrigued as to this comment too.

Play on words, everybody I know calls it that.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then I commit to anywhere from two to twenty thousand words for every game I get to attend!
