Bracken Co. returns every starter from last year, including 5 Sr's.

With an improved Meyers almost no way the birds can unseat the district champs!!!

NewCath is now playing home games on Newport Vets #2. This is the middle field between Vets #1 (next to the pool) and Bartlett. 200 foot fence is already in place, and pegs for pegged bases are the only thing left to install.

 

The Softball team was able to secure $2500 from the NewCath Parents Club and an alum who owns a fencing company put the fence up at cost, another alum was able to get all the trusses donated for a two story brick building. And another NewCath alum his donating his services to build the building at cost and it will house concession stand, bathrooms, storage area for equipment, press box, & locker room/meeting room. A few fundraisers, plus a few private donations are covering the cost of the building.

 

Thanks to Head Coach Denny Barnes for getting the ball rolling on this, he's put a lot of time and effort in this project and to the NewCath alum's for stepping up and getting the job done. Building should be completed before the end of the season.
