Bardstown (26-6) and John Hardin (18-8) meet Monday at 8:45 at Marion County High School in the 5th Region semifinals. It's the fourth year in a row the teams have met in the postseason, with the winner emerging as the eventual region champ each time. It's the eighth time they will meet over the past four years.

Here's the recent series:

12/10/10 — JH 69, BHS 67

3/2/11 — BHS 62, JH 57 (Region QF)

12/9/11 — BHS 55, JH 48

3/6/12 — JH 74, BHS 66 (Region finals)

12/7/12 — JH 76, BHS 71

2/25/13 — JH 68, BHS 64 (Region QF)

12/13/13 — BHS 74, JH 66

3/10/14 — ?

Tigers' strengths are their guards, led by PG LJ Cowherd, and Seivon Schooling in the post, and they're very fast. The Bulldogs, of course, are also fast, and lean on their dynamic duo of Keon Williams and Patrick Anderson. Should be a dandy.

I don't think this is JH's year. Their starting five is very good but they lack depth and size. I think Bardstown wins in a close game.

From a distance I've felt like E'Town & Bardstown have been destined for a championship clash, so I'll go with Bardstown in this one.
