polarbear98 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Final from Mt. Olivet. Bracken lead in scoring by Austin Crawford with 21. Nate Haight had 19 with 4 huge threes at crucial times for Bracken. Jacob Hamiliton also pitched in 11 in the win. The win puts Bracken to 11-14 on the season with two games left before district tournament play begins. The Polar Bears are in action again tomorrow night when they travel to Frankfort to Play Frankfort high school, and Friday is senior night when Bracken hosts Bourbon. As for Robertson I don't have any stats but Dawson Cooper had a good game but was plagued with foul trouble. Edwards also had a good game getting the devils back in the game late with a couple big threes. The game started out pretty close I think Bracken had a one point lead after 1. Slightly increased the lead by half. The Bears were up by as many as 16 in the third, but Robertson clawed their way back into the game and tied it with a minute and change left in the 4th. Came down to free throws at the end and that has been Bracken achillies heel this season, but Austin Crawford went 6/7 in nthe final minute to seal up the win. Robertson had a few good looks but just could not convert. Great game and great atmosphere. Glad I got to take this one in. :thumb:
Randy Parker Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Thanks for the info PB98! :thumb: Did Jacob start again tonight?
polarbear98 Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 Thanks for the info PB98! :thumb: Did Jacob start again tonight? Yes he started. Scott Fite came in and logged some minutes scored a few points but reaggervated that ankle injury early in the forth. Don't know how bad it is looked as he was walking on it after the game so I hope it's not too serious. We really need his presence down low. He does a lot of the little things that don't always make it on the box score.

Mattitude Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Pretty good win for BC. I thought Robertson would take this one.
polarbear98 Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 Brady got some pt but seemed like he he never got into the flow of the game. The devils used the press while they were making their comeback. And Brady had a couple point blank shots that wouldn't go down. Also got out hustled on the boards. Really needed more outta him because Ryan May was in foul trouble all night. Hopefully he can come outta this and get back to the player he has shown in prior games. I gotta keep reminding myself that Crawford Hamilton and jones are just freshmen and errors are going to happen till experience sets in.
polarbear98 Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 The one thing to take away from this game is the play of Hamiliton. Crawfords shots were not falling in the first half and Jacob stepped up. Driving the lane making the tough shot with contact I can remember at least 2 3pt plays. One thing for sure he ain't the biggest kid on the roster but he's not afraid to take it to the tall trees when he has too. :thumb:
