gobigblue9 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Not sure what the final score was but it was a close
bab100160 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Final HC 45-41. Once again Scott goes coachless and loses again. Long past time for a change in Taylor Mill!
sentinel Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Final HC 45-41. Once again Scott goes coachless and loses again. Long past time for a change in Taylor Mill! I've often wondered how the fans and parents at Scott felt about their girls program. Not a very strong resume over the years and they seem to have talent in the pipeline but they never realize their potential. Does Scott really care about girls athletics?
bab100160 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Kids care alot. Parents care alot. Administration does not!
katbird Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I have watched a few Scott games the past couple of years and I don't think Klette is a very good coach. They have some serious younger talent and I am afraid they are going to waste it..
sentinel Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I have watched a few Scott games the past couple of years and I don't think Klette is a very good coach. They have some serious younger talent and I am afraid they are going to waste it.. Just looked up her prior records and it is not impressive at all. The few wins Scott has acquired over the years look like they are against smaller schools than Scott. I know someone previously said the parents care but they need to voice their opinions because it looks like the administration is comfortable with their past. I say that not knowing, maybe their is some goals set them with their coach. Just curious, does this become a title IX issue when you accept a less than stellar program? I do not know title IX that well but I assume the spirit of the rule is to offer girls the same opportunity to succeed as they do boys.
PostitiveFan Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Are you kidding me! Actually Scott has one of the best, most educated and most DEDICATED coaches I have seen and I have seen alot of them. The only thing she can do any differently than what she is already doing is to get out on the floor herself and play.
bab100160 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Agree she was a great player but that history doesn't make you a good coach. She has a huge problem teaching the game and coaching during the games.
PostitiveFan Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 You must have a daughter on the team that has not gotten the playing time you have wanted her to get or she may have not worked hard enough during the summer to get the results that you have wished for.

sentinel Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 First, I really wasn't trying to start this but looking back I guess I could have worded things differently... or better yet, not of even posted. I do not have a kid in the school as mine have already passed that point in their lives. Just a fan bouncing around watching some games. To answer your question... the record is posted below so after what I watched I was just curious and pulled this up. What I really questioned were the quality of wins overall. I personally wasn't a fan of what I saw from an execution stand point on the floor so that is what prompted my message I guess 13-14 15-11-0 12-13 17-11-0 11-12 4-29-0 10-11 9-18-0 09-10 21-9-0 08-09 10-19-0 07-08 11-18-0 06-07 9-19-0 Winning records over this span... in order... minimum of 3 games. Calvary Christian, Harrison County, Silver Grove, Dixie (6-6), Dayton, Bracken County and Cooper (4-3), Ludlow, Pendelton County and Holmes (3-3). A number of these are small schools. With that said, I'm out of this conversation as it def. turned in a direction unintended. I was curious what individuals thought of this program and I think I have my answer. Best if luck to the girls and coaches.
