Help? They didn't get any "help". The coaches went to a dribble drive offense that Dixie could not defend without fouling. Strong and Tibbs both got isolated and couldn't defend their girls off of the dribble and ultimately ended up fouling out. Give credit where credit is due, to the bearcat coaches for this and other adjustments, and to the WV players for executing it, hitting their free throws, and having the heart to come back.

 

This is spot on...plus throw in some "frustration" fouls that came when Dixie started getting rattled.

The classic "foul the rebounder after you missed a shot cause your trying too hard to get it back", a couple of technical free throws, maybe an "over the back" --- There were a handful of these frustration fouls that gave Walton the bonus or two free throws. It all was a part of getting 18 free throws in the fourth quarter. Walton was able to capitalize on being in the bonus with Dixie's help, and Walton did an incredible job hitting the free throws.

One of the best coaching staff's in the area! Clink, Trame, Turner & Dixon do an outstanding job and they have the girls playing hard and believing in themselves! When you play hard and don't give up, good things happen. Everyone said that Walton would struggle and be down this year but they have surprised everyone.
