Butler earned the top billing, but I still don't think there is a dominate team in girls basketball this year. Sacred Heart held them to 13 points in the second half of the LIT final. Any one of the top five could be number 1 in the rankings.

 

And what a tough sweet 16 draw for the top teams on the BGP ranking. If Sacred Heart gets past Ballard, Anderson gets by Simon Kenton, and Elizabethtown gets by Larue County, two of these teams would be eliminated after round two. Region 5 plays 7 in first round and then that winner plays most likely Anderson County in the second round.
