Too much trouble, to me at least, is the #1 reason that it isn't done!

 

I will say that the KHSAA could make the sight easier to use to make certain you have posted the correct numbers, like what the Cincinnati/NKySID stats have. What the SID sight has that the KHSAA doesn't, is to total the stats at each section, this way you can double check your input details.

I would think it wouldn't be that hard to build a program that would automatically update totals, when you enter individual game stats. :idunno:

It will total scores such as a player has 2 2ptFG 1 3ptFG and 1 FT for 10 points but it doesn't give you the bottom line of totals. Same thing for rebounds you can post the number for each player but it doesn't give you a bottom line total. Easy to make a typ-0 and I do double check but it would be far easier if each section you fill out had a total making certain you have posted the information in correctly without have to double check everything.

I have heard that the website isn't the easiest to use and that could be a reason why so many don't report. It is something that is worth investigating IMO. It shouldn't be difficult for people to enter in the information and if it is difficult it would be nice to see the process made easier.

You are spot on. If you aren't able to cross-check your entries by comparing team totals (yours vs. what the site you're entering the numbers at) then you have no way that isn't difficult of knowing whether you've made all correct entries. I've worked stats and budgets for years and all of the spreadsheet models I worked up ALWAYS had a cross-check number that compared the totals in such a manner as to make sure they matched (individual vs. team).
