Scott Co. 69 Tates Creek 65

Featured Replies

Final

Tates Creek has found some consistent play. Sparks for the Creekers was outstanding this evening. Once again the 11th is up for grabs and Tates Creek could be a team that will represent the region. Scott Co fell behind in the early and was down six at the half. Played a great third period. Held on at the end. This was a completely different Creek from the past. This bunch of kids seemed very diciplined and played hard and in the past I have seen Tates Creek teams go in opposite direction this time of year. A friend of mine made a point that the Scott Co game with Catholic Saturday was probably still taking an effect on the Cardinals after a win like that and full of emotion. Still no excuse they have to play better or Henry Clay will close our door.

Sounds like Lexington Catholic will have their hands full with Tates Creek.

If you can keep Nochta from killing Novosel, Lexington Catholic has a HUGE chance of winning. Lots of no calls at Scott County last night, and not for the home team. A good rough game is sometimes need right before going into tournament play, as long as no one gets hurt that is.

the phantom intentional foul really helped scott co. out last night too. But then again I already mentioned all that in my thread which was posted first, but mysteriously was closed.

Say what you want. When Scott Co had the 8th region refs you guys say the same things and now they have 11th region you guys say the same thing again. I don't understand but anyway its a tough place to play. There may be no more than five teams with such a home court as advantage as the Cardinals do. Its just a tough place to play at as well as a great place to watch a high school game.

ummm, you guys? I've never once said that about scott co. but if you were at the game last night, how could that foul be intentional? it was clearly a block of the ball and the foul was with the body, the guy for scott co. didn't even fall to the floor, he didn't get hit hard. the referee got caught up in the emotion of the crowd and let it influence his call. I think both teams played really hard and both deserved to win, i also mentioned that in my other thread.

I was at the game but was way on the other end. There was a state tournament official who made the call. You probably saw it better than me. I thought your other thread was referring to home cookin or was I wrong.

Good effort by TC as this game could have been much different. Stayed with it, just came up short, nothing to be ashamed of. Scott County has proved very beatable, not only on their home floor, but CCH and now TC have had them on the ropes. They are a great team, but don't always play the whole time. Need to play a full 32 mins.

The Creek is a dangerous team. They can put three strong ball handlers on the floor at one time. Sparks is a tough kid. The Knights will have their hands full against The Creek. Thats why they have been scouting Tates Creek for weeks.
