Inside the 15th Region (1/26/14)

Featured Replies

1. Lawrence County improves to 12-7 with win over Paintsville

Teams got to play one, maybe two games while some didn’t get to play at all due to bad weather, Lawrence County was able to get one game in. They welcomed Paintsville into the Dawg House on Monday. The Dawg House was too tough for the Tigers as Lawrence County would prevail 64-56.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs was sophomore Robert Dalton who had a double-double with 23 & 11. Sophomore guard Brandon Richardson added 14 for the Bulldogs.

2.Pike County Central, Belfry battle wire to wire

The Pike County Central Hawks got in two games this past week, against Belfry and Phelps. Pike Central and Belfry would go back and forth and would go down to the wire before Pike Central pulled out a thriller 61-59 over the Pirates.

Pike Central wouldn’t have much trouble with Phelps as they rolled past the Hornets with ease 83-35.

3. Johnson Central gets revenge, beats Sheldon Clark 69-41

Johnson Central Golden Eagles got some revenge this past week by defeating Sheldon Clark 69-41. Sheldon Clark had upset the 15th region favorite earlier in the year 65-64 in overtime. Junior forward Kyle Gullett led the Golden Eagles with 22 including going 5/8 from 3. Senior forward/center Shane Hall added a double-double with 15 & 13.

I agree on the top part of your rankings, but not the bottom half.

Prestonsburg has beaten the 3 teams you have ranked just above them. I know those teams record may be better, but it was against lesser competition.
