Fairview H.S. has hired / named Assistant Coach Fred Ray for the Head Coaching position at the school. Ray has been on the Fairview staff with former coach N. McPeek from 2009-12.

Hopefully the new coach runs a clean program.

I think he will make a fine coach. I was shocked they didn't go outside the program but it still seems like hire.

I was really surprised as well considering all that went on with that program/school last season. Hopefully coach Ray will be able to restore some credibility to the Fairview football program. I hope so anyway, for the Westwood community, parents and kids.

Freddie is a great coach and even better person. He will do things the right way, I have known Freddie for a long time, top notch person!

Freddie Ray is one of the best people I know. He always has a smile, a honest and positive role model. I do not know a better Christian. He loves God and sets the bar high. The kids love and respect him. He will run a college no huddle offense. I enjoyed watching him in college and also for the indoor semi-pro teams. He will bring stability to the recent choas.

Agree on everything you said. Know them both very well.
