Looking at their roster, they really didn't seem to have that many seniors. They did lose Jordan Young which accounted for a lot of yards on offense. However, they do return Damian Belcher who will likely pick up the rushing yards for Young. They return one of their two QB's Brice Workman. Leading Receiver Dalton Adkins returns. We know they have junior-to-be Kicker Tyler Pack back.

I have been hearing that Belcher now lives in the city.

JC still has the pieces to be a stout team... but from what I gather next year should be a step back.

 

Losing Young hurts...but they also lose Dillon the FB and Gound who was a 4 year starter at QB. Workman saw some meaningful snaps...but losing the experience of Gound and 2/3 of your starting backfield is a big hurdle even with a guy as talented as Belcher back there.

 

In addition to that, JC wasn't a particularly dominating defense by any stretch of the imagination in 2013 and they lose far and away their two best defensive players in Auxier and Ward.

 

The kid I think that will play a vital role in their success is the big Salyer kid at TE. He came up huge against Belfry and will give them a bit of versatility in their offense if they utilize him. Workman has a pair of nice weapons to throw to between him and Adkins...but Workman has never really been noted for his passing ability. He is a dangerous runner for sure, but for JC to regain their offensive form he will have to prove to be a capable passer.
