Sharrock did a great defensive job on Garrett. Very proud of Damion King tonight. To be so small, this kid can play both ends of the court. Green also had a great game tonight. The two Freshman Jones and Davis came off the bench and did very well. Both had played in the JV game.

Been a bumpy road for Paris in the early going.

Our coach addressed that in his post game show. Said that with the new coach, and alot of their players just coming in from football, we would see a different team for Paris as the season goes on. Best of luck to them and their new coach the rest of the season.

I thought that "Garrett" was him. Sharrock is a very solid player. Hopefully the roads will be good enough shape that I can make the trip tomorrow.

George Rogers Clark forward Khmarkis Blanton drives past William O'Bryan of Paris for a basket during the Cardinals’ 64-47 win over Paris Friday night at Norton Gymnasium.

 

Blanton led four Clark players in double figures. Luke Sharrock followed with 13, Damien King contributed with 12, and Braxton Greene scored 10. Sharrock scored 15 points in the team’s season-opening win over Nicholas County earlier this week and has scored 28 points in Clark’s first two games.

Blanton did the bulk of his scoring in the third quarter with eight points.

 

 

“I thought he was really good tonight. I was really hard on him the other night. He was really good tonight with his demeanor. He didn’t get selfish, didn’t get frustrated when the points weren’t going his way in the first half. In the second half, he had a couple of stickbacks and was able to finish on the inside. I love seeing that.

 

“He finished up the game with two or three passes where he could have probably scored, but he was unselfish, it was a very good night for Khamarkis the way he carried himself even though he didn’t score (but one point in the first half), I thought he played pretty good.”
