Corbin will be better than expected and Jackson Co. not as good as expected, at least in my opinion.

If you saw the game, did Fox and Collier play off one another a lot? I'd imagine they'll try to establish a strong 2 man game with those two as the year goes on.

I didn't see that much teamwork out of Jackson Co., they seemed to throw up the first available shot for the majority of the game, but did take it to the basket more in the 4th qtr. Collier could have hurt Corbin in the paint, but seems to like the perimeter better. Jackson Co. was careless with the ball last night which hurt them as well.

 

The biggest surprise to me for Corbin was the 8th grader Taylor. I knew he was going to be a special player, but he is further along than I expected. Goins scored 28 and will have to be the main offensive threat for Corbin, but I didn't really feel like he played his best game. Coach P. does a very good job in getting kids to play certain roles that really benefit the team, and he has several kids like Waddle, Browning, Hopkins, Shelton, etc. who do different little things that help teams win.

 

Corbin is young, they played 2 8th graders, a freshman and a sophomore in their rotation of 10 players last night, so they will struggle at times.
