Who plays the toughest schedule? Some high-ranked teams have really impressive W-L numbers but play light schedules; some teams post good records despite playing many challenges; while others may stumble several times against top teams only to become hardened, strengthened and ready at tourney time. Again, who will play the toughest schedule in 2013-14?

You bring up a good point about strength of schedule and cupcakes. There are positives and negatives to playing a tough schedule during the regular season. Yes your team is "seasoned", but they can also be beat up going into the tourney.

In looking at the khsaa website it appears to me that all of the 10-12 pre-season top ranked teams all have 6-8 other pre- seasoned top ranked teams on the schedule. Depending upon how the tournaments play out could change strength of schedules of course. Looks like some good basketball ahead this year with alot of closely matched teams.

Larue plays a really hard schedule.

Hands down SHA has the toughest by far in my my 13-14

Out of the 26 game schedule only 6 I would say that they should not have to many problems. And SHA is the no.1 team in Ky.

You can easily make a case for SHA playing a tough schedule. I just hope they make it to the end of the year healthy, so they can make a run in the regionals.

 

I don't know if SHA is #1 but they are one of the elite teams this year. Many good teams this year means we should have some good battles.
