Are you saying the rich in Katy don't want to use their personal wealth for the stadium or have their tax dollars to go to the stadium? The big notable from Katy is Roger Clemens (sons went to Katy HS). Also The Woodlands is a whole nother area (an hour north) and has some big money. They will also get some big tax revenue shortly with Exxon moving their headquarters there.

 

No, just that they have money to spend. I'm guessing the tax base there is pretty considerable and public support for a project like a football stadium that one-ups other towns is high.

 

I know The Woodlands is an hour from Katy, but that isn't really the same as saying that, for example, Lexington and Louisville are an hour from one another. Both are considered Northwest Houston within the same sector inside Interstates 10 and 45. I was just trying to put that in perspective to show that it was an affluent area of Houston.
