After starting the season 1-3, the Golden Lions have won 6 of their last 7 & 4 straight. Undefeated Mason County is at home & has been piling up points all season long with a ferocious ground attack. Can Garrard pull the upset or will the Royals keep rolling?

I am a fan of both these programs so this one is a tough choice for me on who to pull for. I think I will just stay neutral and wish good luck to both teams. I hope it is a hard fought and well played game with no injuries.

 

If forced to pick, I would say that I think Mason County will prevail and move on to play Bourbon County in the regional championship game. If Garrard were to upset the Royals, though, it would not surprise me as both teams are well coached and both have been playing well.

 

One thing for sure, I hope the winner of this game wins the following week to represent Region 3 in the semifinals. Hopefully my Pirates will take care of business and get to make that trip. Playing at Mason Co or Garrard Co on Thanksgiving weekend will be a pleasure as you know it will be a battle and we will be treated well by either program. Two of my favorite places to play on the road as you can tell they are blessed with good leadership and class from top to bottom.
