cjjennings
The Brossart Mustangs hold on in a tough matchup with Scott. Final 2-0. Both teams played very hard. Brossart controlled most of the game but Scott had several shots on goal. Scott with two yellows and one red card. Congrats to the Mustangs and to my senior son. A great season so far. Can we get one more? Dunbar stands in the way.

Oldtimebaseball84
and who? I'm sorry, but if you compare the Scott cards received....especially the reds.....you cannot tell me that the Coach isn't encouraging that behavior. Terrible reflection on the school and program..... I think #39. The red card was after BBHS scored their 2nd goal. I think he was upset with the ref over not getting the calls they thought his team should. It was unfortunate. The Scott team played very hard. Not a good way to end their season.

Please don't tell me it was the same kid that got the red card in the Cov Cath game. If so then that is really sad, how many red cards is that? Oldtimebaseball84
I looked at the roster on khsaa and it was a senior. Not the same kid that got his third of the year against Covcath and then another two days later in the jv tournament. His dad's is a ref. you would think he would be smarter. nkuclubbaseball19
So was this a straight red dissent card? I'm confused by the postings as to what happened.
bothways
Dissent is not a straight red. You might be thinking of foul and abusive language.
nkuclubbaseball19
Dissent is not a straight red. You might be thinking of foul and abusive language. That's why I posed my question. All that was posted was he was possibly upset about lack of calls. That tends to lead me to think dissent and thus I was confused as to the red card.. Now if it was for language they would have been able to sub (provided the rules haven't changed lately). So for the people at the game, if he was replaced after the red, it would be a language red card.
imsays
No more soft reds in soccer, the red was for language and you play short.
bothways
True. Thankfully the did away with the stupid soft red card. You get a red of any kind your team plays short. Just like in real soccer.

I always thought it was dumb even when my team benefited from the soft red rules.
