Knew that was coming from a 1,000 miles away.

Are they playing Ryle next week in the championship? I was told tonight that the Ryle frosh were told last night was their last game and they needed to clean out their lockers today. That's coming from a parent with a kid on Ryles team. :idunno:

I was told the same thing but was corrected in my tracks...Wed Frosh Championship game between CovCath and Ryle. Not playing Thurs so the kids can go trick or treatin:thumb:

The CCH Freshman team has practice today in anticipation of the Championship Game next Wednesday. So, if there isn't a Championship Game, someone failed to inform the Colonels.

Dixie is a rather good team with two very good players in their starting QB and RB. Neither "D" last night in the rain/sleet wind and cold were doing a very good job of tackling the ball carriers, as again both teams were not tackling but instead trying to knock the ball carriers down.

As was stated by BlueDad, more than just a few CovCath kids were in sweats pants due to injuries and most were from the "D" side of the ball. BTW it was very nice of both coaches, to play nearly every single player in this game. Good job guys

Congrats to the blue colonels on the win. They took advantage of mismatches and were the better team tonight. The QB for Dixie is #11, Hunter Meyer, and the RB is #26, Cameron Barrett. They are great kids who excel on the field, as well as, the classroom.

I agree with you on the "sketchy" tackling and am happy everyone did see playing time last night. We look forward to seeing a championship game with Ryle. Sounds as if there's a few rumors floating around that a game may not take place. Hope that isn't the case.

Side note : Thanks for what you do Theoldguy. I've enjoyed staying up on the blue colonels throughout the season reading your scoring summaries. Glad your efforts were rewarded with dinner last night. If only every school in the area had one of you :thumb: Take care and best wishes to the, blue and red colonel, student-athletes in the future!
