Tonight at Patterson Field in Owenton, The Owen County Football program will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a Football Alumni Reunion, recognition of the first football team from 1963 and re-dedication of Patterson Field named for the first football coach of the Rebels program, Guy Patterson.

 

Any Football Alumni are invited to come out for a pre-game tailgate that will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 at the field.

 

Tri State Internet Sports Radio will be videocasting all of the festivities LIVE from the field at halftime tonight as well as the Trimble County/Owen County Class 2A district game.

I hope the Cochran family is there. I saw them play against Mercer in the mid 70s. I also remember riding to Owenton with my dad and Coach French to find out when they were scrimmaging. Hope the Owen County Rebels football program has a great night!

My greatest football glory, a 59 yard interception for a touchdown, came at Owen County on October 1, 1982.
