Thoughts / Predictions?

Belfry 49-0.

Haywood will call the dogs off as soon as the running clock starts.

Belfry 49-0

This will be a monumental mismatch. Sheldon Clark is really struggling and I hope I am wrong, but I don't think they will be much competition for the Pirates this time around. I really hate it for the Cardinals and Coach Hager, who is a great guy and played for Coach Haywood at Belfry and still has close ties to the community here.

It has been a long season in Martin County and they are only half way through. The next half, unfortunately, will be tougher on the Cards than the first. After Belfry this week, they still have Lawrence County, Ashland, Pike Central and Hazard to face. For the winless Sheldon Clark team, that is a murderers row, the likes of which is the last thing they need at this point in their development.

Belfry will spend this week working on Belfry more than working on stopping Sheldon Clark. They will work hard in practice on the things they need to improve upon and use the week to get better. I suspect they will probably throw the ball around more this week than any game this season, and the younger guys will get a good workout on Friday.
