The Scribe
Baker had 10 carries for 218 yards late in the game, 3TDs (including a 96-yard TD run). His father Al's longest run was 92 yards in a game vs. Murray 30 years ago. I wonder if they are the first father-son tandem to each have a 90+ yard rushing TD in a game in state history
JDEaston
Ashland looked pretty good tonight. I know Ironton is down this year, but its still Ironton. Some mishaps on special teams gave Ironton good field position to score. But other than that, the Tomcats played their best game of the season in my opinion. Although it was the first game I have been able to attend this year. I have listened to the others though. Baker is a monster, not many teams will be able to stop him. The defense, despite giving up 20 points did great in my opinion, the points they did give up were mostly due to good field position by ironton, after punts or kickoffs. This Ashland team is inconsistent, but they are coming a long. If you catch them on a good night most schools would have their hands full, and I have a feeling they are only gonna get better.
