I am pulling this from EyeyoftheTiger's article about Beechwood this week. I like the good news to get reported and the good guys to get their recognition. Often times people only see the surface level and don't know the inside story of how teammates are with each other. In competitive sports, people let jealousy and other emotions dictate their views of opponents. I think this shows a lot of class from a sophomore playing in his first varsity game. I am sure Mitch Thomas appreciated it.

Class Act - Ethan Stringer

 

With the injury to Thomas, sophomore Ethan Stringer was asked to take over at running back. Stringer stepped up to the challenge and was named player of the game by the Skyline Showdown media. Stringer was awarded a trophy for the honor. Upon receiving his trophy on the field, Stringer immediately took the trophy, walked to the sideline where his injured teammate Thomas was standing on crutches, handed him the trophy and told Thomas he deserved that award. Way to go Ethan! Now that is brotherhood.

 

Bravo!

I get where this kid's swagger puts some people off. Doesn't bother me in the least as long as it's managed and I've heard nothing to say it isn't.

 

Until proven otherwise, I'll side with the kid.

What a tremendous talent and a very unselfish thing to do. This kid can be special for beechwood.

 

Now, lets get to reality of this post. This is a shot at the SK fans, not cool BW people. Not cool.
