Did fugate have an off night? did the press not work? or is the atmosphere what caused the tigers to lose the game and there cool i am a tiger fan through thick and thin and when they go out of region if they dont get ahead by 10-15 pts they have the game taken away from them.

That could be a problem for the tigers ( the 10-15 point philosophy that is). I don't believe the tigers had the lead at any point during the game.

I know Coach Messer personally and there is no way he would grab another team's player. Good win Fleming County!!

The press worked sometimes, and then sometimes it didn't. The Tigers never did have a lead, but they pulled it close plenty times, and then a foul was called and Fleming County went to the line. I think Fugate had around 10-12 points, but in the second half Fleming County put a chaser on him, as well as Howard.

Coach Messer was in front of Jackson City's bench getting control of his own players and preventing any thing else from occuring when the young man came off of the bench. At no point in time did Coach Messer do anything or say anything to any player from Jackson City. He and Jackson City's Coach talked after the incident and both seemed satisfied with the referee's handling of the situation.

Sorry I didn't mention any other players, I was just making the point that Howard was doing well the first half and was dragged around by his jersey the second half. Fugate did well as did most of the team considering the situation. Most of the fouls called against Fleming was away from the ball, most of the fouls called against Jackson was on the shot. A good way to even the fouls out but do more damage to the out of region team. Anyone would have to admit that when #3 Chase Thompson had his legs taken out from under him on a layup and there was no call... well come on..LOL Shame, Shame! Fleming's player diving out of bounds with the ball and Fleming being awarded the ball back???? Also the scoreboard keeper not buzzing in Jackson's players wanting to sub for a player in foul trouble???? After thinking about it I think this was a good experience for the Tigers as they know how hard they played and when playing within the 14th region they know the hard work will have better results. Also a good lesson in life that many things in life are simply not fair and not everyone is honest, and sometimes even if you work your tail off to earn something, you get it taken away from you because....oh well, good lesson in life for the kids I guess.. I hope!

Who is the coach at Jackson City?:confused:

This is one of those games I would love to see. We will never know the whole story unless we saw this one. Would love to see video. Now, I love the Tigers and they are from my region so I side with them most of the time but I will say this. When Lee played at Jackson City there was some what I would call "dirty" things that happened. Particularly the player taunting the Free Throw Shooter during the shots and a player tried to fight with a Lee player, unprovoked from what I could tell. Now, that being said, the game and emotions can run high and I dont think any of these kids are bad kids. They just need to learn to channel that energy on the court. Good luck to the Tigers on the rest of the season.

I love Jackson City and Coach Lively and the job he has done this year. Just stating what I saw. To me and others sitting around me at the game thats what it looked like. I am not trying to offend you Roundleather. Sorry if I did. But like I said, I wish JC well this year and in the future and am happy to be in their region now. BTW, that was a nice play on words with my name. I never thought of that. :thumb: I hope we are still buds

I witnessed the verbal assualt laid on the Lee players when at the free throw line I have never seen such a display of low class tactics to rattle a shooter at the line. The referee claim he did not understand what the player was saying to the shooter or a Technical would have been called. Oh well it didn't matter any way.

I dont mean to be rude but im petty sure crying is not aloud in basketball that is why they have cheerleaders i say if all you want to do i cry n wine about little things a team does to win well then go help the cheerleaders
