Landon Lamblez from Conner

Just a hard working, strong kid. What do you need him to do? He'll do it. Brings energy at Conner, rebounds, defends, and can hit some shots*.

*(this is part of a series about potentially under-recognized kids in NKY started by Big Fundamental).

I played against him a few times this summer and he really impressed me. He has a nice motor, and is very skilled. One difference I noticed between this summer and last summer is he seemed a bit more mature on the court. He also seems like a very nice young man.

Pleasant kid who I would always have on my team. Basketball is not simply a game of skill. It's also a game of hustle, attitude, and toughness. LL is one tough hombre. Jim Hicks never has to get him to play harder. Heck, sometimes you have to get him to dial it down a bit.

Strong at going to the basket. Strong on D.

Conner will need him to be really good this year.

High RPM player for sure. He actually caught me with a hand to the eyelid and now when I look in the mirror I will always be able to remember his name.

Landon is a great kid who plays as hard as anyone day in and day out. He is unselfish and a true team player. He has a decent shot, but he makes his living driving to the basket and offensive stick-backs. Could improve his defensive mechanics. Saw many times last year his man blow by him. I think part of that is that he sometimes plays too hard, if that's possible. His one negative is that he tends to be his own worse critic and beats himself up if he makes a mistake. Then one mistake quickly becomes two, then three, etc. As a senior, I am looking for him to mature and emerge as a leader of the team this year. I think he has the potential to be a very good player this year and could be the X-factor for Conner's success.

..........Love kids like this, as Clyde said, I'd have this kid on my team 100% of the time. Like AJ Collins last year for Cooper, regardless of the sport, I'd find room for kids that I'll NEVER have to urge to play harder or tougher.

I've heard that LL is an outstanding soccer player as well, I assume he plays stopper / sweeper and I assure you that you'll earn every look you get against the Cougars on the pitch.
