Powell Co 78 Owsley Co 66

The owls can't seem to get it together and with their talent in 3 positions they should be a better team. Coaching can't seem to get them on the same page. Cut Powell's lead to 3 at one time and then coaching let it vault back to 15 without a timeout, change, or substitution. I am sure that the gentleman that coaches there is a quality guy but he just isn't getting it done. IMO.I have only seen the Owls 6 times this year. Any opinions from the Owl faithful.

I'm with you on this one. I really believe if you had a younger, more energetic coach on the sidelines that the Owls would respond a lot better. That is just my opinion, but it seems to be the talk of the town. :sssh:

The radio broadcasters seemed to think that Powell's depth wore the Owls down. They certainly got handled in the rebounding department, particularly on the defensive boards. The linescores show that the big difference maker was the second quarter, the other three quarters were about even. Owsley dug themselves a hole, and never could overcome it, although they did pull within 3 at one time.

This is the first time i think i have seen Owsley have more than four in the line scores. I talked to a fan from Powell and he said Smith absolutely dominated the third quarter. He said the Owls ran out of gas in the fourth, and i think he said Neeley or Congleton one fouled out with 2 minutes left in the ball game.
