I think it will be a long time before we have to worry about a replacement for Coach Wallace. He loves what he does.

 

I agree with you there. Lot of speculation. but I see another 5 years.

Coach Wallace has only one more coaching record to go to own all of them at Alma Mater...and he ties that one this fall: longest tenure as head coach. He enters his 18th season, matching the record originally set by Doug Smith in 1926-43.

 

Personally glad to have one of my boys back in the fold, and Ben is one of my favorites (yeah, I'm THAT old...!). It will be great to see his parents back as well, as they are so nice, and his father used to really rib me a bunch...he's a truly funny guy! Since Ben was an OL, I'm looking for big things from our OL this fall. He did an outstanding job for Warren East as head coach...the Purples' front line will be formidable this fall under his tutelage!

However, I am Alma Mater's Football Historian, and if you have a question about the Purples' gridiron history, hit me! I don't know everything, but I know more than anybody I've heard of. And if I don't have a ready answer for you, I have plenty of research around my place, and I'll be glad to dive into it and see if I can get you an answer!

I have series records and season results all the way back to the first season in 1922.:thumb:

Not at all...never too late to meet another member of Purple Nation! No doubt you've seen that gold jersey of mine then. I wore that jersey back in 1976 when we beat Paducah Tilghman for the first time ever! Great place on the track for Mrs PH and me.
