James Bolden Summer Highlights v Moeller

Featured Replies

Both came back during the prior school year... I'd say neither will have eligibility issues.

McClendon's mom also works for the Covington schooling system...not sure if It's with the BOE or not but that played a part in getting both him and his sister back in the CIPS system.

Mcclendons address better have changed otherwise he won't be eligible. You have to physically make a move or in the case of private to public show a drastic decline in family income. I am guessing he will be eligible but if he just gets a new address, I'd be all over that of I was Holy Cross. Players need to suck it up and stop this transfer nonsense. If players transferred every time they had a disagreement with coach or principal, every player would leave.

Jason Covington....haven't heard that name since my son played him in 8th grade. It was our 8th grade night and the only highlight was him receiving an alley oop from Bolden and slamming it in. They held our boys to 8 points!

I think you might be thinking of Kenny Potter... Covington isn't exactly the most athletic kid.

That's who it was Keny Potter. Is he playing this year?

Not that I'm aware of. I don't think he's even enrolled at Holmes.

.

The KHSAA guidelines say you sit for one year from enrollment at the current school. So it was what, Jan/Feb, before he came back to Holmes? I'm guessing he never moved so I'm really curious as to his eligibility.

I am assuming the housing issue is going to be resolved because I know that was a requirement from the AD.

AD, heck. It's a requirement from the KHSAA. They say you must have moved into the district before enrolling.

You must be new to Holmes/Holy Cross transfers.

I was thinking the same.

James is visiting X this week.

They were without Housely, Herndon, and Glover (all sr's to be) because of a school priority.

The kids who started (Markel McClendon, Steffan Green, Andrew Arnold) will all be sophomores this coming season.

Bolden will obviously be a junior, and Chames is a senior. Hill, also a senior to be, came off the bench.

Sophomore to be Ian Brolley also saw a lot of minutes, along with junior to be Jason Covington.

Holmes will be very young this coming season off the bench but that sophomore to be class is absolutely loaded. They go about 7 or 8 deep and everyone can play at a high level for their age.

they may have another SR to be Austin Gullett ...good shooter missed last season with shoulder surgery
