Great point!! This is Male's first trip to State, and Jess is pumped!! So, nothing would please me more than having Ms. Haylee on the next field over playing Thursday night then we can all go get BBQ!!! :hungry:

 

If they're not fortunate enough to make the Final Four that play on Saturday, so be it. She'll take her ACT Sat. AM, and then we'll be on the road to Dayton for afternoon bracket games in the Blue and Black...we are a softball family and next week has "Win-Win" written all over it for me, regardless of the game scores.

 

My kid's in the State Tournament 10 miles from my hometown, so all of her family gets to come see her rock it out!! :ylsuper:

Not to take anything away from you and your team but I would take a top 100 finish at ASA/USA vs winning a regional nationals, its not the same not even close. Most teams go to a regional national bc they didn't qualify for Asa/Usa or they don't think they can compete with the top teams or they just my not be willing to travel, but most good teams will travel. By anybody's standards the Louisville Sluggers are a top org not only in the midwest but in the country. They had a team win a regional national at 12U, they went to ASA/USA the next year and went 0-2 so they finished tied for last out of around a 150 teams.

 

Again I would really love to go to state but if you win state you get your name on a banner in your gym, maybe a ring, have a couple reunions. You win nationals you almost for sure would get a scholarship. Just look at Laser Gold from Ohio they go on a great run and win nationals and I bet almost every kid goes to school for about free. They won ASA/USA when a lot of the top teams had moved onto Premeir but it still payed off very nicely.

 

We won the regional at 12u, we used the automatic berth to the 14u USA/ASA to go to Sioux Falls as a team of 13u and went 2-3 and finished around 60.
