I agree. Ryle vs cov cath is anybodies to win. I also think ST Henry could give Highlands a run for there money due to Kuebbing being on the mound! Should be fun to watch!

I can't believe there won't be some large crowds attending these games on Monday!

Slightly different than the weather we experienced in round 1 last year when the temperature on the turf was over 100!

It was hot just watching these games last year, couldn't imagine playing them! What hitters and pitchers from each school should we keep an eye on this tournament?

NINTH REGION TOURNAMENT COMING TO UCMC STADIUM

 

FLORENCE, KY – The Kentucky High School Athletic Association 9^th Region baseball tournament is coming to University of Cincinnati Medical Center Stadium on Monday, May 27.

 

The participants in this year’s tournament include Beechwood, Boone County, Covington Catholic, Dixie Heights, Highlands, Newport Central Catholic, Ryle and St. Henry.

 

Game times and matchups are as follows for Monday, May 27:

 

• 10am: Dixie Heights vs Newport Central Catholic
  
• 1pm: Boone County vs Beechwood
  
• 4pm: Covington Catholic vs Ryle
  
• 7pm: Highlands vs St Henry
  

 

Winners from Monday will move on to play Wednesday, May 29 at either 5:00pm or 7:30pm. The championship game is scheduled for Thursday, May 30 at 7:00pm.

 

Pricing is $8 for adults and $5 for students at the box office. Click here to purchase tickets online in advance of game day. Online tickets can be had for $7 for adults.

Why purchase online? Avoid ticket lines. Fans tend to all show up at the same time, immediately before game time, creating log jams at the ticket windows. By purchasing online, fans can print off their tickets at home and avoid such lines.

New this year: purchase a weekly pass good for all 3 days for $20. This pass is available now at the Florence Freedom box office or online.

I am really looking forward to seeing the Cov Cath vs. Ryle game. That could go either way!

I hope so, as I will be there from around 9:30am on Monday until the last out Monday night keeping a book on each game. Now if I could just get a food and drink discount......Theoldguy would be in heaven.

Honestly, I hope Mr. Brown bids one day to host the State Tourney, as that would be even nicer.....
