I love it a good old fashion arguement on here and I am not involved.

 

I have said it before HC can play with anyone in the region but it would be an upset to win a game in the region.

 

OK I can't stay out of it!! I think most people say or think HHS defense is on the weaker side bc HHS posters said it was the reason they lost several games early. Sounds like they are fielding it better of late which will make them a tough out in the tourney.

Also they had better win the 36th, because the other 3 district winners are all gonna be tough, and if they are the runner-up in the 36th, then I think it will be tough for them to win 1 game in the region. (same would hold true for Newport or NCC)

I would say this year there isn't a huge difference between the top 2 teams in each district besides the NDA/HC district.

 

The draw is going to be a big deal. NDA and or Boone/Ryle or Conner will be on 1 half of the bracket while the other half will only have 1 of those 3 schools. Good for HC bc their half will only have 1 of the Boone County schools seeing we can't face NDA till the finals. So if I am any of the other schools I want to stay away from that side of the bracket more so than worrying about who I draw in the first round.

wow again! the only NKY teams HHS has lost to are ND, Ryle, Conner and were losing to Boone. One of them won't be in the region. HHS already beat SH, Dixie (twice), NCC twice. may not have beat a big boy yet, but it's coming!

 

The reason HHS people were talking about the errors early on was because is was keeping them from beating the good teams and blowing everyone else out. It was frustrating early. feels like some feel they can't hang with SH. the last time the birds played them, it was on the verge of a run rule until the cru made a late run sparked by a ton of errors early in the season for the birds. those errors seem to have been cleared up with getting the right players in the right positions and finally executing. Time will tell.

Maybe this will make it easier to understand where I am coming from (and others). In football, if Holmes is 5 + 0 coming to play Highlands, do they have a chance to win? (Yes). Is it a great chance? (no). Have they beaten everybody up to then? (Yes)

 

Until you have done it, you haven't done it, and things get tighter in the post season. Your coach is great and you have made great strides, but don't fool yourself.

HHS has a great shot at beating one of the big teams but there is a lot better shot at them getting beat by the teams 5-9. Yes you have beat all the rest but in a very close manner, two wins against NCC by a total of 2 or 3 runs, the first game against Dixie was one run and that was probably due to a bad call by the umps. You beat HC 3-1 with out your best player but keep in mind HC did not play there best lineup either. (HC never does but that what happens when the coach has a grand kid on the team) These are all regular season games, it all changes a little in the post season. Yes HHS is towards the front of the pack of the next teams but a couple close wins against teams that are long shots to win the region doesn't get you much.
