Feel better about your daughter

Got time to ride down to watch the UK/UF softball game today. I know there has been a lot of talk about errors on the board here lately but its just part of the game at all levels. Saw several routine plays turned into errors today and some really bad base running. One was as simple of a play as you will ever see, ball hit to 3rd she makes a perfect thow to the second baseman and it hits off her glove and goes into right field. I heard that second baseman was the #2 recruit in the country last year. These teams are ranked at 2 and 12 in the RPI so it doesn't get much better, and to make things worse the umps sucked too.

I have probably been able to watch 30 to 40 college games live the last couple of years and this seems to happen more often than not. So the next time your daughter boots a ball or makes a mistake its not the end of the world, no need ground her or take her cell phone away just know it happens to the best of them.

This is the one area my kid as no problem in, thank God.

Great post!

I was there yesterday (Sat) and saw two wild throws to first on rushed plays but other than that the play was stellar in the field. UK LF made a diving catch laying out to catch a ball and UF SS made and incredible play to come up with a ball and made a great throw from her knees to first (UMP blew it though as the runner should have been called safe).

Great place to watch a game though! Can't wait to go back!
