The two best players in the 9th are Madison Moran (Holy Cross) and Haylee Smith (Notre Dame), and quite frankly, those two stand well above the rest. Shows the idiocy of 9th Region coaches that voted.

Boone scrimmaged NCC on Wed. and NCC is much improved and will surprise some teams this year. It was very cold and the field was sloppy, still I was very impressed with their progress.

Without Smith this is a joke! If I was starting a team she would be my first player selected.

How many D1 players has NKY produced in the last decade? We have one at Holy Cross this year and she's not top 10? Crazy. We have another that has a legit chance at D1 and she's not top 10 either? Come on.

Every player on that list is in Boone County. How many coaches voted?

With that said, my favorite player Erika Stein is on there so that's good. Here's to a big and healthy year for her.

Talked to Richard Skinner. This is not an association filled with NKY coaches. It's an association which means you have to belong which means you probably have to pay dues. So it appears that this represents only a fraction of the coaches voting.

That makes sense then as to why the poll seems slighted.
