55th District Championship from Wolfe County.

 

Surprised by this score. Figured it would have been a little closer with it being in Campton. Breathitt goes to region as the winner, Wolfe as the loser.

I don't thinking Breathitt has the ability to make it through 3 games and win the region, but they do have the ability to knock off one of the teams that are seen as likely candidates to win it. On a given night they are a very dangerous team, its just that they don't do it every night.

Who and why?

I don't know the players nor the entire story to it, just that the state has stepped in and was supposedly at the Breathitt/Wolfe game tonight. I'll ask around and see.

When you say "state" do you mean KHSAA or Department of Education?

I have no idea.. State was the only thing mentioned.

The news I just heard concerning these two players...WOW.....Rumor has it, that, Richard Trent and Michael Fugate have been suspended 10 games do to unexcused absences and have been suspended for 10 days from all extracurricular activities.
