8 PM from Estill County High School....Powell/Owsley Girls will play at 6 PM.

Owsley took 2 from Powell this year, winning 64-62 in Stanton and then 87-83 in OT in Booneville....This will be a good game..It's hard to defeat at team 3 times in one year...but I'll take the Owls in a barn burner 59-57....

For those are interested and can't make it down, you can catch all the action (the entire tournament) on Moore Country 104.9 Home Page (Powell County station), on the left hand side of the screen will be a listen live thing, below it shows Computer, Tablet, Cell Phone, just click on ever which one (Computer is best). Powell does a fantastic job at airing the games and yes I will be keeping the updates on Monday and for the girls championship.

Owsley finished up the regular season with two of their starters not playing at Leslie County Friday. Hopefully they'll be back in the lineup and ready to go against Powell County. I predict Owsley County by 4.

Owsley has got to contain the outside 3 point shooting of Marcum. If he gets it going he can carrythe Pirate's with his hot shooting. He's one of the purest shooters in the region and cannot be left open even for a split second.

Owsley has the offensive ability but needs to cut down on turnovers, especially the unforced variety. Also stay out of foul trouble. I look for Allen to have a big game. He's playing very strong lately and with a lot of confidence.
