Congrats to Coach Lawson and the UK softball team. They are off to a wonderful start to the season, beating #3 Cal, W Michigan and Oregon State to start 3-0. They are currently down to #4 Arizona St but its early.

UK loses 8-1 to ASU. Griffin Joiner, former Miss Softball in Ky goes deep for her first homer of the year.

I think this could be the best season ever for UK Softball, if brutal schedule doesn't take too much out of them.

They lost a ton from last year. They have a real nice freshman class. With the schedule the way it is I was thinking they may be down a bit but after the first 4 games I would say thats not the case.

Your probably right about the losses, but I think they have as good a young nucleus as any year in the past. This first 4 games looks very promising.

Great opening weekend for UK. Hopefully they can make their 5th straight NCAA tournament appearance this season!

Good to see the UK softball team off to a good start. I'm a big fan of Coach Lawson, and I hope she keeps the program moving upward.

UK wins again beating #16 Washington, I think if the season ended today Coach Lawson could be coach of the year and Junior pitcher Lauren Cumbess could very well be National player of the year.
