All State Baseball Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Owls travel to Campton to take on the Wolfe County Wolves on Friday. Owsley defeated Wolfe by 12 (84-72) earlier in the year in Booneville, however Wolfe County plays a lot better at home then they do on the road. Teams have a difficult time going into the Wolves den and leaving with a win. Wolfe actually had Perry Central beat for 3 1/2 quarters. Common Opponents: Estill County, Powell County, Lee County, Jackson City, Perry County Central, Leslie County, Hazard, Menifee County, Buckhorn Owsley County (7-8); Estill County (62-58 L & 57-51 W); Hazard (79-50 L & 71-46 L & 80-44 L); Powell County (64-62 W & 87-83 W); Lee County (74-72 W & 59-55 L); Jackson City (68-60 W & 87-77 W); Perry County Central (86-35 L); Leslie County (61-58 L); Menifee County (67-65 W); Buckhorn (68-62 L) Wolfe County (8-4); Estill County (56-44 W); Powell County (66-61 L); Hazard (63-48 L); Lee County (67-63 L); Jackson City (87-54 W, 53-29 W, 51-35 W), Perry County (62-49 L); Leslie County (59-56 W & 58-56 W) Menifee County (70-68 W); Buckhorn (59-52 W)
The Professor Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 This is going to be a tough one for the Owls. I hope they can win but as All State said, Wolfe is very hard to defeat in Campton unless you have overwhelming talent, like Knott or Perry. Just being about even with them is not enough.
