I am in no way trying to start an arguement but the camels are far from the rebels in talent. Boone came out strong, Bray lit the 3's up and Story's lit the boards up with some easy bunnies and a dunk i might add. This was one of the best coached games i've watched. The coach pulled the key players out at end of quarters to give them breaks and got them right back in. Boone played unbelievable and if they keep playing like this they're def going somewhere. The best part about the game was everyone out there just about contributed, Ben with 13 assists, big game from Mike and Chris along with a Ferris and the freshman Steven. The Camels def have some strong players but they were no match for Boone.

 

The camels played bad. They were not in the game mentally at all. If thats the best Boone plays, wait to you play a team mentally ready!

Franzen playing well last night will just make them deeper come district time. That is the silver lining in last night's game.

Franzen will make things happen. The official in the JV game knew that and effectively took him out of the game. He is a spark! Not afraid of losing, great kid!

At 5-9 the Camels have fallen well shy of the expectations and hype that surrounded them when the season began, or where those expectations way to high. I for one thought they would be a top tier team in the tenth.

Actually the Camels are 6-9, but only 3-9 after three opening season wins against lesser opponents.

That can be part of it. Poor coaching, poor conditioning. Probably just a little over hyped though.

I don't have a clue about team chemistry, but Coach Reitz has proven he knows what he's doing. Overall they seem to have struggled against teams with a good inside presence (Elder, Brossart, Pendleton, Mason, Boone, etc.), and I'd argue they don't have good overall size. They are a guard/small forward oriented team with no proven center.

 

White and Clines are proven threats offensively, but have no other consistant help, especially against good defensive clubs. They don't play very good "D", and have trouble hanging in a game when they aren't scoring 70+ a game. (They've scored 74+ in all their wins) They and Scott should be fun to watch, as both give up a ton of points!!

Great insight.....you are so right. No proven center. If anyone can get them ready for March it is Reitz.

This is just a start i'm sure to boone's run. They had an incredible game down low and had no problem from the guards bringing the ball up the ct and dishing it off. The boone team that played last night will do damage in the up coming games. Saturday will be the test , I hear they play some team from down south that is supposed to be tough but we will see.

BIG confidence booster for Boone, very win, surprising in my mind.
