Wtg Devils :dancingpa

Great effort by the Lions. Was a close after three but the Devils got it out on the break to break open the game. Lavender scored 14 points which I would think is a career-high.

make that 16 but who's counting?

He was 2 for 2 from 3 and 6" away from 4 for 4, overall 7 for 9 shooting in 16 minutes of playing time due to foul trouble

They maybe should start guarding the boy :thumb:

Kasey Clark had 9 assists and 4 steals for the Devils while VanHoose poured in 18 and Blair hit for 13. Russell sems to be playing well heading into February.

21 assists overall for Russell, the "cover boys" are getting healthy and clicking, plus gill, lavender, simpson and frazier are all contributing key plays,

overall balance is going to set the Red Devils apart from the rest of the pack :ylsuper:

Good win for RHS, but I'm a little surprized by the margin...

Has Lewis County improved that much?

You cant ever overlook a Joe Hampton led team, they will keep battling you

With the style of play the Devils have a 16 -pt win is like a blow-out. They are methodical and sit down on you defensively. They are extremely physical and very patient offensively. Lewis Co. has improved greatly and Coach Hampton always has them ready to play and they play really hard. However, I expected to see Russell win by about 15. Their style allows them not to get blown out, (i.e. Greenup Co. loss) and in turn not really blow people out either.

No doubt... and certainly no disrespect intended to either team. I just know the offensive firepower Russell has, and I really figured Lewis County would do well to hold them below 80 points. Apparently Lewis played a good game as well... :thumb:

Dont hold your breath on the Devils scoring 80 despite their offensive weapons. Dodd has a system that has been successful and he will stick to it.
