Engineers travel to Booneville to take on the Owls of Owsley County in a boy girl double header. Girls will start at 6 PM and boys to follow (around 7:45 PM/8 PM). Engineers defeated the Owls in Irvine earlier in the year 62-58, had a 19 point lead but lit it slip when Estill brought in the younger players to give them expierence. Both games are huge district games, for the boys it could determine whether or not Estill get's the 1 seed or if it goes to a blind draw, for the Girls it's to see who get's the 3 and 4 seeds, If Owsley girls win by 9+ then they are the 3rd seed and Estill is the 4th, If Estill wins or Owsley wins 7 or less then Estill get's the 3 seed and Owsley the 4th seed. Estill boys come in at 11-12, Owsley County comes in at 8-13.

Folks, this game is gonna be a war.

After this game Estill will return home to battle the Wolfe County Wolves on Saturday at 2:30 PM. Owsley will also return home on Saturday to do battle with OBI.

I think Estill get's it done in Booneville. Estill by 4, 54-50

Owsley 64 Estill 62

The Owls will have to stay out of foul trouble, especially Allen. He's as important to them as Noel is to UK. He sat out over one quarter of the Powell game in foul trouble. When he re-entered the game in the 4th quarter the Owls were down 13 points. They ended up winning in overtime and Allen finished with 39. He's definitely got to be in the game and not on the bench for them to have a chance against Estill.

If these games get canceled then the only available date that all four teams have is February 12th (Tuesday) if they still want it to be a boy/girl double header, if not then they are plenty of open dates for the boys and girls to get their games in. It's bright and sunny but suppose to be like 23-24 degrees don't think it's enough to melt some of this snow so Estill can get to Owsley and back home safely.

Cars are moving in and out pretty fast on my little road and it's usually the last one that get's scraped and salted, sometimes they don't even scrap or salt it so I will say that if they are doing this on my road then the main roads are a lot clearer, which is a good sign.

As of now the games are still on

I'm taking Jon Bentley and his Neers to leave Booneville with a big district win.

I just talked to the Owsley officials. The Estill at Owsley can will be played as scheduled.

Meant to write "game" instead of "can". Can't correct from my cell phone (don't know why) so I'll just do it this way.

Boys are leaving at 5. Girls will probably leave around 4-4:30
