I thought he was offered a scholarship. Nevermind. He was initially a preferred walk on and then awarded a scholarship right before he enrolled.

 

Was he on scholly his first year? I thought that came in year 2.

 

Polson agreed to come to Kentucky as a walk-on, but in August of his freshman year (before ever playing a game) Cal gave him a scholarship.

 

Ha.
