Scheduled to tip at about 9:05.

This game will be a battle not between teams but between what is and what might have been. (That sentence will read a lot better if you read it as Jeremy Irons.)

PRP's Taywan Taylor is out of town on a recruiting visit to Colorado State.

Trinity's Daryl Hicks is out with a foot injury and Sam Strothman is out with the flu.

I don't know that there will be much to take away from this game other than someone gets to play Fairdale tomorrow morning and the other one doesn't.

Coincidentally, I think Trinity's Dalyn Dawkins is on that same football recruiting trip to Colorado State.

Trinity 15 PRP 9, end of the first

LaMontray Harris has all nine of PRP's points.

Quick and Owens both have six to pace Trinity.

Trinity stretches the lead to 10 after quick run-outs lead to layups for Quick then Owens.

19-9 Rocks, 6:22 to go in the half.

I've been a fan of Owens since he was a freshman. Kid can play and this year and next year is his time.

Trinity leads 31-20 at the half.

Toward the end of the second quarter, Trinity had a possession that I swear lasted an entire minute. THAT'S the Trinity I remember.

Quick and Owens led the way for Trinity with 10 points each.

Antonio McDaniels had 7 of PRP's 11 second-quarter points.

After scoring all PRP's points in the first,LaMontray Harris went scoreless in the second.

He's having a great night. If this level of play keeps up for him, Trinity might find a way to make the finals even without Hicks.

PRP has pulled it to 41-37, mostly on the strength of great play from D'Angelo Hunter who had six points and a block in the third frame.

Good thing Owens is having that monster game. He had 8 of Trinity's 10 points in the third.

He started for Lousiville Magic. He has faced better competition. He should be better than what he is IMO.

That's part of what's making this so great tonight. He plays low for trinity and gives up some serious height to PRP's two 6'7" twin towers.

It's not fair watching Quick on a breakaway. Just absolutely dusted two guys on his way to the basket.

Trinity leads 51-40. 3:47 to play.
