Playing without senior point guard Quin Richardson (bruised hip, stained wrist), Scott County trailed only 35-30 early second half before Whitney Young ratcheted up the pressure and pulled away from the Cardinals. Whitney Young, ranked 7th in the nation, was led by their junior trio of L.J. Peak (23 points), Jakil Okafor (17) and Paul White (17). Trent Gilbert had 15 while being harassed and double teamed all night for Scott County.

The Cardinals will play Hudson Catholic (NJ) Monday night in the third place game. Scott County hopes to have Richardson back from that one.

Hudson Catholic will be another tall task for the Cards.

They have 3* PG Kavon Stewart (committed to Robert Morris).

And they have Reggie Cameron (6'8 F) who is a 4* Georgetown commit.

Not a bad showing with Richardson out. Hope he returns soon.

Didn't realize WY was so loaded. Okafor is top 5 in the country for 2014 and LJ Peak is another one that's big time.
