Final

Good game tonight, my hats off to South for a good season and getting to the regional championship!!!

I guess Monroe is the Dark horse this year!!!!

Go Falcons!!!

Game went like most figured it would. SW was a different team on defense and coach Nelson did a great job bringing the best defense he could assemble. SW still struggled to move the ball well on the falcons, the falcons didn't give up the lone SW TD until about 25 seconds were left on the game clock. Great effort by the falcon defense yet again... Everything from this point on is "gravy on the biscuit", Monroe wasn't expected to be here by anyone outside of Monroe, I knew we had a chance to be in this position for the simple fact Coach Petett said we would, he's great at assessing his team and knowing what's he's got and he told the crowd at the blue/white scrimmage that if the falcons stay healthy we would be playing for a regional championship on our field, kudos to him for knowing what he's got and knowing the landscape around him...

Congrats to SW on a great season for a second year program, their good enough now that they need to play in the class they belong.

For the record, that was more like the South Warren team I expected the first time around. Glad they played better this time around, but the outcome was still as I expected. Congrats to the Falcons!

Meant to ask in the last post, how did the Spartans conduct themselves this time around. Better I hope?

Class act... The game was very clean. Unlike Green Co. they received their trophy with class as well and received a standing ovation.

This was a great game and the Spartans played like a class act!!! I feel the first meeting got way out of control for the young team and they let their emotions get the better of them...most teams would get chippy if they were not expecting what happened. That being said, this game was a great one. The Spartans brought it and had a very good showing in the stands. They had a lot of trouble moving the ball like SemperFiFalcon said, and Monroe showed very little offensively for Central. If I am not mistaking Coach P only showed 4 different sets and only very little out of these sets. He has done a very good job not getting very deep in the play book as of yet....Hey, run it until they stop it!!!!

Great win for the Falcons, 4 regional championship games in five years!!!! Its good Football in the Air in Monroe!!!!!

Good hard fought game by both teams. Congrats to South Warren for a good season and good luck next year.
