Will PT have the squad to be competitive with this schedule?

Possibly, they have a pretty young team this year and has some kids from the new McCracken Co school coming over next year. Most of there skilled kids are jrs or sophs. They have a really solid, dual threat QB and will have good overall size and speed, as always..

IMO, PTs biggest deficiency is coaching. If they had a really good Head Coach with some good assts, this team could be so much better than what you see. They have weeks where they look great and others they look horrible.

I wouldn't expect them to play with Ft Highlands, but, you never know with them. I don't think they'll be that outmatched from a talent and athletic standpoint, but, from a fundamental and coaching standpoint, it'll be a mismatch..

Honestly, they have as much sheer athleticism as Lou. Central does.. If Allen Cox were still coaching there for the last 10 yrs, they'd likely be one of the Top 3-4 programs in the state with several more championships..

Don't know what Randy Wyatt is thinking with having Highlands on the schedule. Randy probably needs to worry about being consistent against small school programs like Mayfield & Fort Campbell. A victory over Highlands is a pipe dream!!

The problem at Paducah Tilghman has been and remains Randy Wyatt. He has a TON of talented players & speed burners all over the place. Randy is his worst enemy as he lets his emotions get the best of him in his coaching decisions. He also bumps his gums to the point that opposing teams like Mayfield and Fort Campbell, with the exception of winning another championship, want nothing more than to beat PT.
